You know, I hate the word supplements, but I guess that is just what they are.
I went to the drugstore yesterday, actually on a search for probiotics which came up pretty fruitless, but did go ahead and get a couple of things. Naturally, my main intention was to get Vitamin C, and that is the one thing I walked out of the store without. I got a big bottle of Vitamin E instead–I think I was overwhelmed and got confused. Oh bother. Anyway, back to the task at hand. There are so many brands of vitamins, I wish there was a good trusty reference as to which are actually useful, but I guess time will tell. I would be thrilled to hear from any of you who know a lot more about these things than I do. What I don’t want is to be told that I have to spend a fortune to get a decent vitamin! I chose the mid-range brand, as I usually do in situations like this.
I also did the no no and chose flax oil in a capsule form rather than in the seed form. I thought that I would be much more likely to actually use it that way, I hope I will still reap the benefits. As I get more in tune with all of this, I will change to the seeds and grinding them myself, I imagine that they would be tasty in yogurt, and I know the fiber will be very beneficial.
Anybody else adding supplements to their diet this week?

If your family likes salad, I’ve tried flaxseed oil with apple cider vinegar. My family liked it. I got the fresh, refridgerated type at the health food store. The oil doesn’t add fiber to your diet, but it will add the omega-3’s.
